Pottery from the Texas Hill Country
Bowl created by Crystal B.
Ready, set..... CREATE!

With your hands, a lump of clay, and a few tools, you can learn fun and easy pottery techniques to create two gorgeous and unique coiled bowls. Your first bowl is then donated to the Austin Empty Bowl Project* to help feed hungry children. Over 5,000 bowls were donated by Austin area potters and students in 2018!
But wait, that's not all! You also create a second one**, then take home your very own unique and beautiful bowl.

All materials are provided for this fun and invigorating 2-session workshop - clay, tools, bowl forms, glazes and stains. During the first session, typically 2.5-3 hours, your bowls are taken from lumps of clay to lovely creations. Once dried and fired, you return to glaze your bowls during the second, 2-hour session. After it is fired again, your bowl is ready to be collected and admired! If you can't part with your donation bowl, you may purchase it and the funds will be donated to the AEBP.

**Patrons who have taken multiple coiled bowl workshops may elect to make a lovely and useful 3-sectioned pinch pot instead of a bowl for your personal piece. (Some of you already have 6-12 bowls from our fun workshops!)

"Wow! Pat is all about teaching and guiding her students through their own creative journey. She is warm and encouraging, smart and funny. She knows SO much about her craft and she is a generous, invested, and creative problem-solver with her students…of all ages! Her classes are fun and oh, so deeply satisfying. " - Susan Darcy

“Although I am not the most confident in my creative abilities, when I took Pat's coiled bowl class, her step by step directions and easy to understand instruction were instrumental in helping me create bowls that I was amazed I had created! Since that first class, I have created several other lovely pieces in subsequent classes and am much more confident in my abilities!” Andrea M.
